"Conflicting Perspectives"
360 film for immersive research
Apr 27, 2023
"Conflicting Perspectives" is a short breakup scene shown from three possible perspectives. It was created as an experiment to better understand how perspective plays a role in storytelling and emotional connection in 360 films.
Perspective is played multiple ways in this short by the camera placements, the characters perspective, the audience's view from the camera placements, and the audience's relationship to the characters. The purpose of this experiment is to have a better understanding of what people want to see and experience when viewing 360 films. This will help to build techniques based on those desires, and to prepare for future films captured with more immersive technology where any perspective can be chosen to be seen.
Filmed on GoPro Max.
